This pen is wonderful and I was over the moon to receive it as a birthday gift one year, but I do sadly have to go for the upsell the Lamy VISTA… as it is all the greatness of the plain safari, but in a super-hi-tech crystal clear polymer. The vista pairs excellently with the ink converter and Mont Blanc inks for a premium upgrade to a high quality mass market product.
If you opt for the non-permanent ink it is well paired with the pentel water brush to give a soft ink wash to the stark black lines.
